What is Nervous System–Focused Chiropractic Care?

When most people think of chiropractic care, they often think of treating pain or addressing symptoms after they appear. While that can be part of the picture, our approach at Wildflower Family Chiropractic is centered on something deeper—supporting the nervous system.

Your nervous system controls and coordinates everything in your body. It’s how your body adapts to stress, regulates function, and maintains balance. In today’s world, many of us are living in a constant state of stress, where the body is stuck in a more heightened, “fight or flight” response.

When this happens, areas of tension—often referred to as subluxations—can develop along the spine and within the nervous system. These areas of stress and imbalance can make it harder for your body to properly regulate and function the way it was designed to.

Using our Tonal Approach, we assess the tone and tension within your nervous system and along the spine to better understand how your body is functioning and where there may be stress or imbalance. From there, our focus is on gently supporting the nervous system—helping to calm areas of tension and shift the body out of that constant “gas pedal” state.

Our goal is to help your body access its “brake pedal”—the parasympathetic state—where healing, regulation, and restoration can occur. Care is gentle, specific, and designed to support your body’s natural ability to adapt and heal, rather than forcing change.

When the nervous system is able to move out of a stressed, sympathetic state and into a more balanced, regulated state, many people notice improvements not only in how they feel, but in how their body functions overall.

This approach is for every stage of life—from infants to growing children to adults navigating the demands of everyday life. Our goal is to support you and your family in feeling balanced, resilient, and able to truly flourish. If you’re curious… we’d love to connect
